An Applications Engineer job opportunity is available with my client who are leading manufacturer of pumps and rotating equipment. The role would be best suited to an engineer with previous technical sales experience with pumps and associated equipment. The role is office based in West Yorkshire with excellent benefits and company bonus to accompany a base salary of up to £45k.
Applications Engineer role:
Working as the suucesfull Applications Engineer you will be office based and responsible for the
selection, preparation and delivery of pumping equipment estimates and quotations. Providing technical support to other parts of the business.
• Selection of pumping equipment according to customer specifications
• Calculate pipe friction losses and produce system curves
• Prepare estimates and quotations for customers in a clear, detailed and accurate
• Deliver quotations, solutions and technical information for customers throughout
• Build relationships with customers and potential customers.
• Involved in bespoke projects
• Support external sales, attend site or customer premises as and when required.
Applications Engineer requirements:
• Educated to a relevant mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification
• Proven technical knowledge of pumps: applications; performance curves; system curves; NPSH etc.
• Experience of waste water industry and frameworks.
• Experience of preparing and delivery estimates and quotations in a manufacturing or engineering business.
• Experience of working within an ISO quality system.
• Experience of understanding and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and schematics.
• Experience of working with commercial terms and conditions.

Salary base up to £45k
