Job Title: Ruby on Rails Developer Location: Birmingham (Hybrid) Salary: £35,000 to £55,000 Contract Type: Permanent Reporting Line: Head of Tech Overview Our client is a UK-based cyber security business operating in the supply chain and vulnerability scanning space. Following continued commercial growth and increased enterprise engagement, they are strengthening platform stability and internal engineering capability. This hire exists to improve reliability, the core product is built in Ruby on Rails and is live with paying customers. As usage increases, the focus is on resolving bugs efficiently, improving code quality, and ensuring the platform behaves consistently under load. This is not a greenfield build, it is a hands-on stabilisation and improvement role inside a growing cyber technology environment. Role Purpose To take ownership of bug fixing and incremental improvements across an existing Ruby on Rails platform, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and the application remains stable, secure, and production-ready as customer demand increases.
