On behalf of Deutsche Bank, we are looking for a Technical Accountant for an initial 6-month contract based in the bank’s London office on a hybrid working model of 3 days per week in the office and 2 from home.

Purpose of the role: This role supports Year End Financial Reporting, the external audit process, and ongoing financial reporting during the deauthorization and wind-down of Deutsche Numis entities. As part of a collaborative team within Deutsche Bank Group, it involves contributing to a wide range of technical accounting and reporting tasks during a period of transition and transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leading the preparation of financial statements for Numis Corporation Ltd and its UK subsidiaries.
* Ensuring the general ledger for each entity is complete and accurate, and the balance sheets are fully substantiated.
* Understanding reporting systems and processes to support financial statements.
* Planning and responding to requests from the external auditor, EY, and the Deutsche Bank finance team.
* Building strong relationships with support functions including treasury, operational finance, external auditors, and Deutsche Bank finance team.
* Supporting the Head of Risk in the deauthorization and wind-down of the Numis UK entities.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualified Accountant.
* Technical accounting skills and experience in preparing consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
* Self-starter with attention to detail.
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
