We're looking for a Field Service Engineer who thrives on problem-solving, takes pride in quality workmanship, and enjoys the variety of working both on-site and in-house. Most importantly, we're after someone with the right mindset and skill set to hit the ground running.
As a Field Service Engineer, your responsibilities will be:
* Carrying out planned maintenance and fault-finding on high-spec industrial equipment
* Working with PLC-controlled systems and remote diagnostics
* Performing repairs, remedial works, and supporting R&D tasks
* Collaborating with a nationwide team while managing your own workload
* Travelling across the UK, with occasional nights away and potential training in Germany
As a Field Service Engineer, we're looking for:
* A solid background in electrical and mechanical engineering
* Diagnostic experience desirable
* Ideally experience of working on heavy plant machinery such as excavators, diggers, concrete mixers, tractors etc.
* Exposure to CANbus systems and remote-control diagnostics is desirable.
* An apprenticeship or equivalent formal qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ, etc.)
* Someone self-motivated, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently
