Job Title: Wellbeing Nurse (Part-Time)
Working alongside our current Wellbeing Nurse, the post-holder will provide effective and proactive wellbeing support to Birketts LLP employees and will deliver occupational health services. This will include employee health appointments, annual medicals, and wellbeing campaigns.
Although based in Ipswich, occasional travel to other Birketts offices (Norwich, Cambridge, London, Sevenoaks, Bristol, and Chelmsford) will be required. The role is part-time, ideally 3 days or 21 hours per week.
Accountabilities
Purpose of the job
Working alongside our current Wellbeing Nurse, the post-holder will provide wellbeing support and occupational health services, including health appointments, medicals, and wellbeing campaigns. The role is Ipswich-based with occasional travel and part-time hours.
Core Responsibilities
1. Provide confidential advice to managers, HR, and employees on fitness for work and adjustments.
2. Review pre-employment health questionnaires and guide the HR team on medical concerns.
3. Conduct initial annual medical screenings for senior staff in Ipswich.
4. Offer appointments to discuss physical or mental health issues and support options.
5. Signpost support services, including employee assistance programs and medical insurance.
6. Assist with staff referrals to external Occupational Health Doctors.
7. Participate in team meetings to promote health and wellbeing services.
8. Support the development and implementation of wellbeing strategies and initiatives.
9. Monitor and report on health themes or concerns.
10. Promote health checks such as mole screening, BMI, and blood pressure.
11. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications and Experience
* Experience in corporate occupational health and health assessments.
* NMC registration as an adult nurse or registration in progress.
* Mental Health First Aid Training (preferred, training provided if needed).
* Phlebotomy skills (preferred but not essential).
