Due to continued expansion and a strong pipeline of secured projects, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. The Role This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong residential groundworks experience to join a growing and forward-thinking contractor. The successful candidate will oversee the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring profitability, cost control, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The role offers hybrid working, long-term progression opportunities, and involvement in large-scale residential infrastructure schemes. Key Responsibilities * Lead the commercial management of multiple residential groundworks projects * Maximise contract profitability and monitor financial performance * Prepare and agree quotations for variations and additional works * Produce and review accurate monthly cost and value reports (CVRs) * Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow across multiple sites * Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts * Work closely with operational teams and clients to resolve commercial matters * Identify and implement value engineering opportunities * Mentor and support junior commercial staff where required * Maintain accurate commercial reporting and contractual documentation Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within residential groundworks * Strong understanding of infrastructure, roads, drainage, and foundations packages * Excellent commercial and contractual knowledge * Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously * Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines * Experience in value engineering and cost control * Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint * Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills What’s on Offer * Salary up to £85,000 per annum depending on experience * Car allowance or company car * Hybrid working opportunities * Paid holidays * Pension scheme * Long-term career progression within a growing £100m turnover contractor Apply now or get in touch for a confidential discussion
