Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Delivery Manager to provide a high-quality professional project support service to the Project Director, Trustees and Project Team, to ensure the smooth running of the project, its support systems and processes. Working under the guidance of the Director but having a level of delegated authority and autonomy while using own initiative. Due to the nature of the project willingness to work flexibly, outside grade and role boundaries, and to be innovative is preferred.

Duties

* Supports the high-level advocacy for and strategic overview of the project to ensure integration, communication and collaboration.
* Ensure that all administrative processes, documentation, and project records are maintained accurately, and consistently in line with organisational policies and project requirements. Where needed, build and shape processes and support systems within the Project and refine and adapt them to meet evolving project needs and ensure effective delivery
* Leads on internal and external project communication, including direct delivery and the commissioning of support and material as required.
* Provides oversight of and support for the delivery of the project’s Activity Plan, working closely with the Engagement Officer and the HW Trustees and partners.
* Supports fundraising across the project, in particular the large public bodies, ACE, National Lottery Heritage Fund, LUF and SYMCA, but also produces applications, engagement and fundraising material to support Trust and Foundation applications, corporate and donor appeals and networking events. Leads work to meet funder requirements including reporting, monitoring and evaluation.
* Supports the Director in internal and external stakeholder management, deputising for the Director as required and acting as a lead contact where directed.
* Assisting with monitoring project budgets, preparing financial reports, and liaising with the Finance and Commercial manager.
* Key relationships include the Director, Finance and Commercial Manager, HWT Board, Project Team, HWT staff, HW partners, volunteers.
* Line management of the Engagement Officer.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

* Project management – including project co-ordination, administration and technical analysis.
* Stakeholder management and communication
* Exemplary communication skills (especially written) with ability to modify according to audience
* Excellent attention to detail
* Excellent organisational and time management skills; including record keeping
* Good public speaker with engaging and inspiring advocacy and presentation skills
* Use of Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint
* Understanding of project delivery principles
* Financial knowledge – working to budget
* Public speaking and presenting. Desirable to also having had an advocacy focus to this.
* Chairing meetings, taking minutes and notes with facilitation of workshops and partnership meetings
* Facilities management
* Working in the charitable sector
* Knowledge or experience of building projects in the heritage sector
* JCT contracts
* Working with Children and young people
