You will lead and coordinate shifts, setting the tone and supporting your team to deliver excellent care. You will provide hands-on personal care with dignity, compassion and respect, administer and manage medication in line with care plans and protocols, and maintain accurate records. Effective communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals and colleagues will be key to your role, as will supporting and mentoring junior care staff to promote a positive and inclusive team culture. You will also be responsible for writing and updating care plans, risk assessments and other documentation, responding calmly and promptly to emergencies, and welcoming visitors and prospective families, showing them around the home’s facilities.What We’re Looking ForA minimum of SVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care is essentialSVQ Level 3 (or working towards it) is highly desirableMedication administration training with up-to-date competencies is requiredExperience in a senior care role within a residential or nursing home settingStrong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to delegate and mentor othersA warm, compassionate personality with a genuine commitment to person-centred careAbout UsGlencorse Care Home is part of Care Concern Group, a family-owned, market-leading care provider with over 100 homes across the United Kingdom.
