Experienced Diesel Plant Fitter Mechanic Required – Full Time
construction company based in St Albans seeking an experienced Plant Fitter Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis.
🟠Role Overview:
You will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a large fleet of modern plant machinery, including:
• Hitachi & Kobelco tracked excavators (3 to 30 tonnes)
• Dumpers (2 to 9 tonnes)
🟠The role will involve both workshop-based maintenance and attending site breakdowns when required.
🟠Duties Include:
• Engine repairs and servicing
• Tracks and undercarriage work
• Hydraulics and rams
• General plant maintenance and diagnostics
🟠All machinery is modern (typically 2–3 years old), and the fleet is well maintained and up to date.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Plant Fitter/Mechanic
• Strong track record with previous employers
• Full, clean UK driving licence
