Main duties of the job
The Endoscopy team are delighted to be able to offer a fantastic opportunity for a committed Nurse to work on the specialised Endoscopy Unit (22.5 hrs fixed for 12 months and 37.5 hrs permanent posts available). Previous endoscopy experience would be advantageous.
Endoscopy is a demanding environment, constantly modernising to deliver high quality services within current healthcare demands, however in return it does provide an exciting opportunity to develop both personally and professionally.
The unit is open Mon - Fri 8am - 8pm. Sat - Sun 8-6pm, and supports On-Call cover.

Job responsibilities
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Ensure a high standard of care for patients undergoing procedures.
* Work with medical staff and other members of the health care team to ensure that treatments are carried out within agreed policies.
* Maintain accurate records of observation, treatment and patient care.
* Provide supervision to members of the team.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Person Specification
Qualifications, knowledge and experience
* Qualified Nurse (Degree/Diploma)
* Registered nurse on appropriate part of the register
* Knowledge of current issues within acute Health Service
* Understanding of personal accountability
* Knowledge of own role within the team
* Provide evidence of teaching and supporting learners in practice in the role of practice supervisor
* Awareness of evidence-based practice
* Awareness of responsibilities for management of infection control
* Evidence of on‑going personal development
* Able to use initiative
* Evidence of recent study
* Previous experience/qualification in relevant specialty
* Teaching experience
