Inside Sales Account Manager Type: Permanent, Full time (Mon-Fri 36.25hrs/pw) Location: Northampton, hybrid model POSITION SUMMARY As an Inside Sales Representative (Account Manager), you effectively manage, maintain and grow sales within a given portfolio of accounts, in line with sales and margin targets. Your key focus is maintaining contact with existing customers, building and maintaining multi-level strong client relationships. The aim is to retain customers and grow accounts through upselling and cross-selling, delivering best in class customer service, and meeting and exceeding expectations on your accounts. Our company has a large network of field Account Managers, but for some customers we take care of them virtually (by phone and email). This remote Account Management is for Individual customers, small customer groups and ecommerce customers. Your role will be to ensure the satisfaction of these B2B clients and find opportunities to support them with additional products and services from our portfolio of cleaning chemicals, consumables and TASKI floorcare machines. Your tasks will also extend to price negotiations and preparing contracts for multiple services and products. Cross-selling and up-selling, promoting products and especially LISTENING to the customer will be an important aspect of your role. You will be working in a volatile and price-driven market, so for this position we are seeking a results-oriented Sales Representative who can hit targets, adapt to changing conditions, and excel at multitasking. As part of our team, you'll need to be resilient, maintaining focus even when faced with challenges. Prior experience in B2B sales will also be crucial in order to succeed in the position. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Proactively contact customers to promote and expand the sales of existing, new and/or additional products in order to achieve business and individual targets Establish strong relationships over the telephone with decision makers (at site and Head office level) Create clear business plans for your portfolio of accounts, using sales reports to identify opportunities for growth Understand customer needs to provide value added solutions. Establish strong relationships with the Regional Sales Team to capitalise on sales opportunities (conducting trials/demonstrations) and/or to provide onsite service as requested by the customer Work with the Marketing team on focused campaigns to promote and expand the sales of specific products to achieve sales and margin growth. Maintain a risk profile for all accounts. Proactively communicate issues to the customer that may negatively impact on satisfaction, i.e., stock availability, delivery issues, etc. and discuss alternative arrangements Record & resolve customer complaints, where necessary coordinating activities with other departments, ensuring complete customer satisfaction with the outcome Communicate and implement the annual company price increase.
