About the Role
The Assessment & Outcomes Assistant will work within the Assessment & Outcomes Team in partnership with academic staff to deliver the highest levels of excellence in professional support across several key functions.
Responsibilities
* Examination and Assessment Coordination for all programmes, including collaborative partnerships.
* Academic Year/Cycle Coordination – supporting timely assessment and examinations for academic staff and ensuring deadlines are met.
* Examination and Assessment Feedback and Marks – ensuring marks are recorded accurately and feedback is given in a timely manner following university guidance.
* Board Management – supporting progression and award boards, ensuring outcomes adhere to policy and process.
* Planning and Management of the universitys examination processes – overseeing collection and secure distribution of examination papers and scripts.
* Examination and Assessment Delivery – arranging venues, setup, resources, and managing papers and digital resources.
* Student Support – ensuring students with reasonable adjustments receive appropriate provision.
* Graduation Planning and Management – supporting the planning of the universitys Degree and Award Congregations.
* Certification – supporting the production and issuance of all university certificates and transcripts.
* Prizes – administering and awarding all university and departmental prizes in line with regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience working in education within assessment, examinations and student awards/progression, or clear transferable skills.
* Highly organised, proactive, detail‑oriented with the ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
* Strong ability to form effective working relationships and understand academic programmes and regulations.

Welsh Language Skills
The Welsh language level required for this role is Level 1 – a little. The role holder will pronounce Welsh words, answer the phone in Welsh (good morning/afternoon), and use very basic everyday words and phrases (thank you, please, etc.). Level 1 can be reached by completing a 1‑hour course.
