A vibrant and inclusive school in the heart of Westminster is seeking a dedicated and resilient Specialist Behaviour and SEN Support Assistant to join its committed team.

It supports pupils across a wide range of needs, including those with complex behavioural profiles and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. Staff work collaboratively to create a safe, structured, and engaging environment where every child can thrive.
The Role
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with experience or a strong interest in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and SEN. You will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
Implement personalised strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and class teachers to support learning and wellbeing.
Help create a calm and structured learning environment, using de-escalation and restorative approaches.
Support pupils in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and resilience.What We're Looking For
Experience working with children with SEN and/or behavioural needs (school-based or other settings).
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding practices.
A willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of individual pupils.How to Apply
