Join Our Compassionate Community Nursing Team as an Advanced Healthcare Assistant!
We are looking for a full-time Advanced Health Care Assistant (AHCA) to work with our community nursing teams.


Your role will help the NHS meet theneeds of elderly, disabled or vulnerable patients who may not be able to easily visit the GP surgery or hospital.


You will work both autonomously and collaboratively to deliver excellent patient care whilst reassuring andhelping families along the way.


You will be based at Abbey Court and will work closely with our GP colleagues and other community services. We help meetyour career ambitions through our flexible in-house learning and development programs including many health and wellbeingopportunities available to you.
You'll need to have the qualification level specified in the person specification in order to carry out the job, however, we welcome applicants who are currently looking to complete their level 3 NVQ or equivalent recognized qualification. You'll need good IT skills, and will require clinical skills, for example phlebotomy, simple wound dressings, bandaging, injection technique, all of which we can support with learning and competencies.

Relevant level 3 qualification (NVQ/ QCF Diploma or certificate of care / Advanced apprenticeship) or equivalent or working towards
Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths)
Experience as a Healthcare Assistant/ Worker in a health or social care setting
Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages (EPay / E-roster/ AT-P/ CIS)
Experience of community nursing environment

Valid driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.

Ability to prioritise care delivery in a professional manner, taking into account Trust policies and procedures.
