Butcher About the role We currently have an opportunity for a Butcher to join our team. You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality butchery operation within the depot, ensuring customer requirements are met and standards are maintained to provide a consistently positive shopping experience. This role involves preparing, cutting, and presenting meat products to the highest standards while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Responsibilities: Prepare, cut, and trim meat products to meet customer requirements. Maintain high standards of hygiene and housekeeping within the butchery department. Ensure all health and safety checks, date checks, and temperature checks are completed in line with company procedures. Pack and wrap meat products for display and customer orders. Assist with stock control and stock takes as required. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, delivering excellent service. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures at all times. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience in a butchery role with strong cutting and preparation skills. Knowledge of health and safety standards within a food environment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality. Strong communication and listening skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexible approach to working hours and tasks.
