February start, full time, term time only, £90 to £110 per day.
Teaching Personnel is seeking a confident, flexible, and enthusiastic Graduate Cover Supervisor to join a Sunderland secondary school from February 2026. This role involves supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and follow the work set.
What you'll be doing:
* Delivering pre set work to classes in the absence of the teacher
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Ensuring a calm, safe, and focused learning environment
* Providing feedback to staff on student progress or issues
* Supporting students with tasks where needed
You need:
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* Confidence working with young people aged 11 to 16
* Flexibility and adaptability across subjects and year groups
* Degree or higher level qualification (grade 4 and above)
* Experience in a school or youth setting is an advantage
