Your working environment will be decidedly research-driven and the key areas the business will touch on are testing and development of therapeutics for serious human diseases.Key Responsibilities:Drive and lead the in vitro assay development of novel Organ-on-a-Chip models from idea to publication, with a focus on ADME models of the liver and Gut to be used in drug discovery in the pharmaceutical industry. Conduct experiments using cell biology and bioengineering tools.Provide fully costed and planned projects and active use of project management tools to track budgets and schedules. Being responsible for all aspects of running experiments including upkeep of the lab, maintaining stocks, record keeping, updating protocols and maintaining good health and safety practices. Optimisation of existing and development of new and novel ADME focussed Organ-on-a-Chip assays. Rigorous analysis and interpretation of experiments and presentation of data in numerous formats. Ensure all experiments are correctly recorded and data integrity is maintained to a high standard. Communicate progress, successes and challenges with the R&D team, commercial team and wider company when required.
