About the Role
The Master Data Administrator role will be part of the business as usual (BAU) Master Data team whose primary focus will be to work closely with the region/country and project teams to ensure the requisite quality of data is maintained in the applicable business systems, including SAP S/4 HANA post Mercury project go- live and to provide timely support to countries with regards to new data creation and ongoing data maintenance as per the agreed global standard design. Project Mercury (SAP) is a key strategic business transformation programme deploying a new ERP solution (SAP S/4 Hana) to improve the operational efficiency and control within the company across all those countries; this includes the areas of finance, inventory and cash management, but fundamentally involves all departments.
Main Duties
1. Create new data as required by the business in an efficient and quality-controlled manner
2. Ensure adherence to the governance standards, processes and workflow for the creation and maintenance of data objects. Work closely with country data, commercial and purchasing teams as required during creation, debugging, validation or ongoing support
3. Provide assessment and input for any issues identified either individually or through feedback and challenges faced by country teams, escalating where appropriate to line manager and / or project teams
4. Acquire and maintain knowledge of set global standards for data from a system and solution perspective that encompasses all elements of the finance & inventory management process including Order and purchasing of articles for direct sale and production, incorporating material resource planning and automated suggested replenishment
5. Recipe management, including units of measurement and product yield
6. Allergen and nutritional management to ensure regulatory compliance and facilitate the availability of accurate customer information
7. Perpetual inventory management and facilitation of theoretical to actual cost of sale control
8. End to end testing and validation, including system integration and user acceptance where required
9. Support the analysis and validation of various data objects and sources of data to ensure their suitability for use in the solution
10. Identify and perform root cause analysis of failures as a result of the data held in the system
11. Working with local teams to ensure quality and accuracy of data in the new system is maintained
12. Support countries in identifying solutions to data and process related issues of varying complexity
13. Work to a standard way of managing data across the business once Mercury is fully deployed that will facilitate informed decision making for the organisation, whilst ensuring adherence to the internal control framework and the relevant statutory and regulatory requirements are complied with
