An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Kitchen Assistant at The Brambles.
1 role available - full-time - working across 7 days - alternate weekends
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will enjoy helping to prepare and serve healthy, nutritious meals and snacks that our residents will love. You'll have good attention to detail and will show this in ensuring that we have the highest standards in food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
Whether you are stocking up our cupboard, plating up tasty meals, washing the pans or thoroughly cleaning the fridge, you will keep our residents' well-being at the heart of everything we do.
Ideally, we are looking for a Kitchen Assistant with some kitchen experience, you may also have an NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation or be willing to study for one.
You will be under the supervision of our Chef and will be assisting in all areas of the kitchen service. This is a great opportunity to also learn further cooking skills, so that in time you may choose to step up and provide cover when the Chef is on leave/sick.
Candidate with some cooking experience would be more preferred, and pay will reflect this basic qualification as well.
You will be good at being organised and keeping records such as dating when produce is opened and temperatures checked. You will be able to follow the recipe instructions.
You will be great at communicating with our staff and residents, showing kindness and consideration in everything you do.
