Directorate

What you will be doing:
You will be working within the Network and Security team to support the network and security systems within the university. You'll work very closely with your colleagues in the Infrastructure Team along with other teams in the IT department.
You'll be maintaining and monitoring our existing systems and you'll be involved in projects to enhance and upgrade our capability. We're looking for someone who is prepared to challenge the status quo; ask why; and help drive improvements and efficiencies.
Qualifications / experience:
* Experience working in an environment where large scale LAN and Wi‑Fi technologies are in place
* Experience working with Aruba CX switching platform and Aruba AOS8 or AOS 10 Wi‑Fi platforms
* Experience with large campus "Next Generation" firewalls
* Experience of network authentication/802.1x and NAC solutions
* Relevant qualifications in networking and security (e.g. CCNP/CiSSP/ACSP)
* Experience of EDR technologies such as Microsoft Defender or Crowdstrike Falcon
