The Role and Candidate
As part of our growing UK & Ireland operations, we’re seeking a Health & Safety Manager – UK & Ireland to lead and support health & safety compliance across our retail stores, offices, and warehousing activities.
Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role serves as the primary point of contact for all health & safety matters, ensuring that our sites operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with local legislation and company standards.
You will work closely with Store Managers, HR, Facilities, and external partners to build a strong safety culture across all locations. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who is confident influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
• Ensure full compliance with UK & Ireland health & safety legislation and POP MART internal policies
• Develop, implement, and maintain risk assessments across retail, office, and warehouse environments
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, ensuring timely follow-up on corrective actions
• Lead incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring thorough documentation and root cause analysis
• Coordinate statutory safety training, including fire safety, manual handling, and first aid
• Deliver health & safety inductions and toolbox talks for new joiners and temporary staff
• Organise and oversee fire drills and emergency preparedness procedures
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and support internal and external audits
• Provide day-to-day guidance and practical advice to managers and employees on H&S matters
• Monitor regulatory updates and implement necessary changes to ensure ongoing compliance
• Support new store openings by embedding health & safety standards from day one
Key Requirements
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within retail or a multi-site environment
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and best practice
• NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) preferred
• Proven experience conducting investigations and driving policy compliance
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver training effectively
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Willingness to travel between London locations and occasionally to Ireland
