HGV Class 1 Driver SuffolkSunday - Thursday | TrampingWe are currently recruiting reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our growing transport operation based in Suffolk. This is a Sunday - Thursday role, offering consistent work with occasional nights out, delivering a variety of loads to customer sites across the UK.This position is ideal for an experienced Class 1 driver who takes pride in safe driving, punctual deliveries, and excellent customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely and efficiently operate a Class 1 vehicle to transport goods between locationsLoad and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and safe handling techniquesEnsure all loads are correctly secured, with particular attention to flatbed securementComply with all road traffic laws, tachograph rules, and company policiesCarry out daily vehicle checks and report any mechanical defectsPerform basic vehicle maintenance and housekeepingPlan routes effectively to meet delivery schedulesCommunicate clearly and professionally with dispatchers, customers, and other driversRequirementsValid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence with a clean driving recordProven experience as a Class 1 driver or in a similar driving roleGood working knowledge of flatbed operations and load restraint techniquesAbility to drive both manual and automatic vehiclesStrong understanding of UK traffic laws and driver regulationsProfessional attitude with excellent customer service skillsPhysically fit and able to assist with loading and unloading dutiesWhat We OfferSunday - Thursday working patternRegular, ongoing workWell-maintained vehiclesSupportive transport team and clear communicationCompetitive pay (depending on experience)Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
