We offer a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our team in providing exceptional culinary services.
As part of this role, you will assist the Kitchen Manager in managing the overall menu, food production planning, and purchasing. This includes ensuring cleanliness and general housekeeping of all kitchen areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent culinary skills, with experience in a similar role. They should be passionate about delivering high-quality food and have a commitment to maintaining health and safety standards.
This position involves working 5 out of 7 days, with shifts alternating between morning and evening sessions. There may be instances where you are required to provide meal services on your own, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Kitchen Manager in menu development, food production planning, and purchasing within budget constraints.
* Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of all kitchen areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
* Manage stock effectively to minimize waste and maintain efficiency.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, including regular checks and maintenance.
Person Specification:
* Excellent culinary skills with experience in a similar role.
* Passionate about food delivery and health and safety standards.
* NVQ Level 2 in professional cookery or equivalent (desirable).
* Intermediate food hygiene/Level 2 certification (desirable).
