About The Role
Our award-winning kitchen team have exciting opportunities for Chef De Partie, Demi Chef de Partie and a Commis Chef to join us on a permanent full-time basis. You will create exquisite dishes using locally sourced Scottish produce and be responsible for having your own section whilst gaining invaluable guidance and development within a multi-outlet hotel kitchen.
In this role you will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the preparation and service of food ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times. Additionally, you will ensure that the kitchen areas designated, equipment and utensils are always kept clean and tidy to the Old Course Hotel standards.
Your responsibilities can include:
* Manage and oversee food production as directed by the Senior Team and to present it at the times required.
* Maintaining discipline in a fair and consistent manner including timekeeping.
* Have your own basic set of equipment including knives, pallet knives, mini scales etc.
* To understand the menus and operating procedure of the kitchen and run your section accordingly.
* Ensure all HACCP systems are followed, and due diligence is completed on a day-to-day basis by you and the team.
* To be fully conversant with your departmental LQA standards.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* Similar experience in a 5-star establishment.
* Culinary education is preferred but not essential.
* Good knowledge of culinary terminology and techniques.
Hours
Full time, 40 hours per week
Remuneration
up to £30,695.07 per annum
