1. About the Role
Mitie is seeking a proactive and customer-focused Helpdesk Operative to join our team at Tunbridge Wells Hospital. This is a vital role within our facilities management operation, ensuring that maintenance issues are logged, tracked, and resolved efficiently to support the smooth running of the hospital.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to incoming calls and emails reporting breakdowns and maintenance issues within the hospital. Log and assign tasks to the appropriate on-site trades and ensure timely follow-up. Coordinate visitor bookings and manage access for subcontractors and external personnel. Liaise with subcontractors to ensure works are scheduled and completed in line with service requirements. Monitor and report on KPIs, ensuring service levels are met and exceeded. Deliver excellent customer service to hospital staff, contractors, and other stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of all helpdesk activities and communications.
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a helpdesk, customer service, or facilities coordination role is desirable. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Good IT skills, including familiarity with helpdesk or CAFM systems. A proactive and solution-focused approach to problem-solving. Experience working in a healthcare or facilities management environment is a plus.
