Job overview
This role offers an opportunity to develop skills and assist with management duties, including supporting the Superintendent Radiographer with daily operations and staff management.
Responsibilities include:
* Performing mammography screening and specialized assessment mammography at the Avon Breast Screening Centre and mobile units.
* Clinical duties at the Avon Breast Screening Unit and the Symptomatic clinic at Southmead Hospital, handling screening mammography and symptomatic breast imaging referrals.
* Being part of the multidisciplinary team, contributing to service improvements and high-quality breast screening services.
Main duties
* Supporting the operational management of the Breast Screening Programme and symptomatic services.
* Deputising for the Superintendent Radiographer when absent.
* Working with the team to meet risk management strategies.
* Providing leadership and mentorship, managing staff schedules, updating protocols, and liaising with stakeholders.
