General Sales Manager
Location: West Sussex
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 Basic + £60,000–£70,000 OTE
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced and driven General Sales Manager to join a successful automotive dealership in West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven sales leader to take responsibility for the performance of a busy sales department, driving profitability, customer satisfaction, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
* Drive new and used vehicle sales performance.
* Manage departmental KPIs, profitability, and stock levels.
* Ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales journey.
* Monitor and improve sales processes and compliance standards.
* Work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver business objectives.
* Recruit, coach, and mentor team members to maximise performance.
* Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer and finance partners.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or senior automotive sales professional.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Proven track record of delivering sales growth and profitability.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
* Ability to analyse performance data and implement effective strategies.
* Full UK driving licence.
