Role Overview
A global company is looking for a Director of Research & Insights to lead data-driven strategies that enhance decision-making and consumer engagement. This creative in-house strategy team, works in tandem with the sales team to inform strategy, big ideas and business solutions for brands to drive meaningful impact.
Who You Are
A strategic and analytical researcher with a strong foundation in quantitative or mixed-methods research. You thrive in fast-paced environments, leveraging data to uncover insights that drive commercial success. Your ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable strategies enables informed decision-making with measurable impact. This would suit someone currently in an AD level role with 8-12 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and execute both quantitative and qualitative research projects, balancing hands-on analysis with vendor management.
* Translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive tangible impact.
* Consolidate and analyse diverse data sources, including market research, first-party data, and social media insights, to support strategic planning.
* Develop and implement social media listening strategies to track trends, sentiment, and consumer feedback, shaping business direction.
* Present research findings clearly and persuasively to internal stakeholders, ensuring insights are actionable and commercially aligned.
* Champion the integration of data and insights across the organisation, empowering teams with data-driven decision-making.
You’ll Have:
* 8 - 12 years of experience in research, with strong quantitative expertise (open to industry background). Not suitable for someone 15+ years of experience.
* Advanced knowledge of methodologies like MaxDiff, Conjoint, and Segmentation, with the ability to design, analyse, and translate findings into insights.
* Experience in both agency and client-side roles is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in data visualisation platforms (e.g., Tableau) for dashboard creation and reporting.
* Hands-on experience with social media listening tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Talkwalker) to extract actionable insights.
* Proven ability to unify fragmented data into a cohesive insights framework.
* Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence in presenting and influencing at senior levels.
* Agile and adaptable, capable of navigating shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment.
