Are you a passionate and inclusive teacher looking to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs?
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher (Semi‑Formal Pathway) to join our specialist provision, working closely with the Headteacher, SENDCo and a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality, child-centred education for pupils with a range of complex needs.
About the Role
As an SEN Teacher (Semi‑Formal Pathway), you will:
1. Plan and deliver inclusive, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN, including autism, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties
2. Develop and implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans in collaboration with SENDCo and therapists
3. Use structured, multisensory approaches to support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
4. Create a safe, nurturing and well-structured classroom environment
5. Monitor pupil progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to reviews and assessments
6. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals
About You
We welcome applications from:
7. Qualified Teachers (QTS/PGCE or equivalent)
8. Unqualified Teachers with relevant SEN experience
You will have:
9. Experience teaching or supporting pupils with SEN (through placements or employment)
10. A strong understanding of inclusive practice and behaviour support strategies
11. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
12. A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional development
