Finance Manager - Projects & Change (12 Month FTC)

As a key member of the Investment Finance team, which itself sits in Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will report into the Senior Finance Manager responsible for IT, Data & Change (ITD&C) and E-Commerce. The team's key objective is business partnering the ITD&C function (which includes the easyJet Airline change portfolio) as well as the E-Commerce team.
This role will directly support the Delivery & Change Director as well as wider IT Leadership Team (ITDLT), offering exposure to senior stakeholders and covering a varied array of project based / ad hoc business partnering as well as FP&A with a high degree of scope to provide strategic insight and true value add. The Finance Manager will need to be able to work closely with senior members of non-finance teams to support the delivery of multiple priorities, as well as work with the wider Finance team to provide input to monthly management reporting / regular reforecasting for the Airline portfolio.
JOB PURPOSE
* Provide effective analytical support to the Senior Finance Manager ITD&C as well as Director for Delivery & Change
* Create certainty and confidence in Airline portfolio forecast for both cost and benefits
* Support / lead both Finance and business stakeholders in project delivery and financial management processes, ensuring consistency of approach, tracking and challenge
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Business Partnering / FP&A
o Provides a true business partner framework to the ITD&C function, ensuring that the relevant owners are supported with the right insight and information at all times. Business partnering with cross functional stakeholders including the wider finance team, IT and procurement to ensure integrity of results and maximum ROI for the business
o Accurately consolidate future performance across both portfolio costs and benefits, understand differences between actuals and forecasts, undertake related analysis (including insight and recommendations) and drive continuous improvements across related processes.
o Drive continuous improvement across processes and drive informed decision making
* People Leadership, Relationships and Influence
o Co-ordinating inputs from PM's and FBP's across the business and managing them to ensure deadlines are adhered to
o Maintaining effective cross functional relationships
o Providing subject matter expertise to a diverse and demanding set of stakeholders
o Identifying opportunities that could be reviewed as part of a deep dive process. Supporting any deep dives with analysis and strategic input / oversight
o Working with and mentoring junior members of the team
* KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS & FINANCIAL TARGETS
o Monthly reporting and underlying processes are delivered within deadlines at all times (e.g. KNF, Factbook, PBT etc).
o Month end budget variance analysis is consolidated accurately with clear summary explanations as to material movements, and investigations / deep dives instigated where required
o Deliver key insight on Portfolio costs for AMB/PLC reporting
o Key deliverables on ad hoc projects as required by Senior Finance Manager

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
* Professional finance qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience, ideally with previous experience business partnering withing a large organisation
* A motivated qualified accountant able to embrace a large, complex, fast moving yet exciting function, with the willingness to drive change and improvements across the board at all times
* Strong analytical skills with an ability to demonstrate an excellent grasp of variance analysis and the key drivers
* Ability to deliver to deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail
* Able to communicate and challenge effectively with key stakeholders at all seniority levels in the organisation
* Able to demonstrate the commercial value of Finance interventions or projects
* Ability to explain finance to non-financial stakeholders
* A proactive team player demonstrating a level of curiosity
* An ability to work on own initiative, and has the confidence to offer solutions
* A true self starter, with high levels of motivation and enthusiasm
* Excellent excel skills

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK
This full time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week on a hybrid working model.
