Software Engineer

About the Role:
As a Software Engineer, you will be working on complex and mission-critical projects in the defence sector. You will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of software systems that are vital to our clients’ success. From algorithm development to systems integration, your expertise will ensure the delivery of high-performance software solutions that meet stringent security and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software systems using C++ or Python.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and design specifications.
* Perform software testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
* Contribute to the development of software architectures for complex defence systems.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations for defence-related projects.
* Provide technical support and advice to stakeholders, including clients and project managers.
* Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
About You:
* Degree qualified in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Strong programming skills in C++ or Python (experience with both is a plus).
* Experience working on complex software projects, preferably within the defence or aerospace industries.
* Knowledge of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and documentation.
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development processes.
* Understanding of security protocols and experience working on security-cleared projects is desirable.
* Eligible for UK security clearance or already holding clearance (essential for this role).
