Job purpose
We are seeking a motivated and charismatic individual to join our admissions team on a full-time basis. This role will primarily focus on student recruitment, particularly engaging with prospective students from countries in Africa and the Middle East. The ideal candidate will have sales experience, be willing to travel to African and Middle Eastern countries on a regular basis, and be fluent in Arabic, with fluency in other languages being desirable.
Beyond recruitment, this role involves maintaining strong relationships with the students you have recruited, as well as their families, once they join Ashbourne. The successful candidate will help ensure a consistent cohort of 25 students from Africa and the Middle East at the college while fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Actively recruit students from Africa and the Middle East, maintaining a cohort of 25 students from this region.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with partners, agents, and schools to support recruitment efforts.
3. Travel to African and Middle Eastern countries for recruitment events, school visits, and student engagement.
4. Provide detailed information about Ashbourne’s academic offerings, admissions process, student life, and support services.
Relationship Management & Student Support
1. Maintain strong relationships with students and families from recruitment through their time at Ashbourne.
2. Serve as the primary contact for recruited students and their parents, offering support and guidance.
3. Collaborate with tutors and support staff to ensure student well-being.
4. Organize activities and events to help students integrate and feel supported.
Translation & Communication
1. Translate key documents and marketing materials for Arabic-speaking students and parents.
2. Assist with interpreting during meetings and discussions.
3. Perform any additional tasks as assigned by line managers or senior staff.
Administrative Duties
1. Maintain accurate recruitment records using internal systems.
2. Ensure smooth processing from enquiry to registration.
3. Assist Deputy Heads of Admissions with administrative tasks.

Person Specification
Qualifications, skills, and experience
* Sales experience, preferably in education or student recruitment.
* Fluency in Arabic is mandatory; additional languages such as French, Portuguese, Persian are desirable.
