As a Control Panel Designer you will beresponsible for the design development and documentation of controlpanels tailored to meet the specific requirements of our clients.Working closely with project managers engineers and customers youwill play a key role in translating technical specifications intopractical and efficient control paneldesigns.
Duties andResponsibilities:
* Utilize CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical EPLAN) to createdetailed schematics layouts and wiring diagrams for control panelsbased on project requirements and industry standards.
* Evaluate and select appropriate electrical componentsincluding PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) HMIs (HumanMachineInterfaces) VSDs (Variable Speed Drives) relays sensors andswitches ensuring compatibility functionality andcosteffectiveness.
* Ensure that control paneldesigns comply with relevant industry standards regulations andsafety codes and incorporate necessary safety features to minimizerisks and hazards.
* Work closely withelectrical engineers and automation specialists to integratecontrol panel designs into larger automation systems providingtechnical expertise and support throughout the projectlifecycle.
* Assist with the management of themanufacturing process by collaborating with workshop personnelensuring the smooth assembly and integration of electricalcomponents within the control panel.
* Providehandson support during the commissioning phase troubleshooting andresolving any electrical issues that may arise.
* Assist with project estimations quotations andtenders.
* Create comprehensive documentationpackages including bill of materials (BOMs) assembly instructionsand operation manuals to facilitate manufacturing installation andmaintenance processes. Provide technical support and assistance toproduction teams and field technicians as needed.
* Conduct thorough design reviews and validation tests toensure the accuracy functionality and reliability of control paneldesigns addressing any issues or discrepancies in a timelymanner.
* Stay informed about emergingtechnologies best practices and industry trends related to controlpanel design and automation and actively contribute to processimprovements and innovation initiatives within theorganization.
KeySkills and Experience:
* Bachelors degree in electrical engineering ControlSystems or related field.
* Proven experience incontrol panel design and layout preferably in an industrialautomation or manufacturing environment.
* Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical EPLAN)and familiarity with electrical design standards andregulations.
* Strong understanding ofelectrical circuits components and wiring diagrams with the abilityto interpret technical specifications and schematics.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with theability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environmentand interact with clients and stakeholders.
* Detailoriented mindset with a focus on quality andaccuracy coupled with problemsolving skills and the ability totroubleshoot technical issues.
* Knowledge ofPLC programming industrial networking protocols (Ethernet/IPModbus) and HMI design principles is desirable but notessential.
* Commerciallyaware and financiallyliterate.
