The Role
As Head of SEO, you’ll be responsible for leading the agency’s SEO department, developing high-performing strategies, and ensuring our clients achieve outstanding results. You’ll manage a team of SEO specialists, collaborate with other channel leads, and play a key role in new business pitches and client relationships.
This is a senior leadership position, ideal for someone who combines deep technical SEO expertise with commercial acumen and the ability to inspire and mentor a team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the SEO function, owning strategy, delivery, and performance across all client accounts.
* Manage, mentor, and develop a team of SEO managers and executives.
* Drive innovation across technical SEO, content strategy, and digital PR/link building.
* Work closely with clients to understand business goals and translate them into measurable SEO strategies.
* Partner with Paid Media, Content, and Analytics teams to deliver integrated campaigns.
* Oversee SEO audits, keyword research, competitor analysis, and reporting.
* Stay ahead of algorithm updates and industry trends, ensuring best-in-class practices.
* Contribute to new business development through proposals, pitches, and thought leadership.
* Report directly to the leadership team on department performance and growth opportunities.
About You
* Proven experience in a senior SEO role within an agency environment.
* Track record of delivering tangible organic growth for medium-to-large clients.
* Strong technical SEO knowledge (site architecture, crawling, indexing, Core Web Vitals, etc.).
* Deep understanding of content marketing, digital PR, and link-building strategies.
* Excellent leadership and people management skills.
* Commercial mindset with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and contributing to agency growth.
* Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and new business prospects.
* Passionate about data-driven marketing, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
