Job Description
This role, for a commercially strong Business Development Director, will be responsible for the management of strategic and operational sales and business development activities in respect of the South East & London region.
You will be responsible for driving sales activity and business growth, originating new opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships to expand our market presence.
As a Business Development Director, your responsibilities will include, among others
1. Originate new business opportunities with prospective clients in the region
2. Identify and research target clients in the region to drive pipeline development and conversion
3. Manage and drive the sales process to convert prospects into new clients
4. Meet with prospects regularly and use this interaction to improve the firm’s brand, relationships and identify opportunities
5. Work with relevant teams and partners in the region to develop winning proposals that speaks to the client’s needs and objectives
6. Manage sales information including conversion rates, key targets, pipeline management, KPIs and trend information
7. Drive progress on regional strategy
Qualifications
Skills and Experience – To be successful in this role, you should have
8. Comprehensive experience in business development or related field, with a proven track record of successful growth initiatives
9. Ability to identify opportunities and drive these to revenue, meeting pre-agreed sales targets
10. Expert understanding of targeting and opportunity management with the ability to implement both strategic and tactical initiatives
11. Client-facing with strong relationship skills and track record of meeting sales targets
12. Strong strategic planning and execution skills
13. Excellent negotiation and relationship management abilities
14. Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to mentor and develop teams
15. Proficiency in project management and ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
16. In-depth knowledge of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics
17. Commercially astute and delivers BD activities with impact and purpose
