Overview
A vacancy at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust for a resident doctor to gain clinical and surgical experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology within a teaching hospital setting. The postgraduate plan supports the Royal College curriculum and includes ePortfolio documentation of training competencies.
Responsibilities
* Day‑to‑day clinical duties in maternity triage, antenatal clinic, gynaecology clinic, maternity day assessment unit and theatre sessions.
* Participation in a three‑tier on‑call rota covering Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
* Audit work and contribution to the weekly departmental academic teaching programme.
* Attendance at essential training such as PROMPT, CTG study day and MED2.
Qualifications
* Completion of MRCOG Part 3 and registration with the GMC.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated compassion for patients, with strong time‑management and organisational skills.
