Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Production Engineering team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
* Mentor and support the professional development of production engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
* Identify and implement best practices in manufacturing processes, material utilisation, and tooling to enhance efficiency and quality.
* Demonstrate expertise in assembly processes, including accurate assessment of time and resource requirements.
* Collaborate with the production team to ensure engineering processes meet industry standards and support operational excellence.
* Apply advanced knowledge of welding techniques-including spot, projection, MIG, TIG, and robotic welding-to support process development and troubleshooting.
Requirements
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
* Management qualification or BEng in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent time-served role.
* Proven ability to implement best practices in manufacturing processes, material utilisation, and tooling.
* Strong understanding of assembly processes and accurate assessment of time and resource requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
