My client is a part of a group that offers a range of services, including ecological consultancy. They were established over 40 years ago and have provided services to their clients nationally ever since. They work on a range of large scale infrastructure projects as well as conservation and others.
Your new role
My client is looking for experienced Ecologists to work on a contract basis, outside IR35 regulations if required.
Works may include:
1. Conduct water vole field surveys
2. Carry out habitat assessments along watercourses, ditches, ponds, and wetland edges.
3. Assist with water vole displacement or mitigation works under supervision.
4. Record field data accurately, including GPS mapping and habitat notes.
5. Monitor water vole activity.
6. Support exclusion fencing installation and checks.
7. Liaise with site teams to ensurepliance with ecological constraints.
8. Follow health & safety protocols when working near water and on construction sites.
9. Assist senior ecologists with project delivery and any required site visits.
What you'll need to succeed
10. Ecology Experience
11. CL31 - Water Vole Licence
12. CSCS Card
13. Own PPE / Specialist equipment is desirable.
14. Full driving licence and vehicle
15. Protected species licences are desirable.
16. FISC qualification is also desirable.
