Business Development Manager We are looking for a commercially savvy and driven Business Development Manager to play a key role in driving new business. This role will focus on high-value prospects, opening new sectors, and developing existing client accounts, contributing to the continued growth of Wasserman Live. From brand activations to live moments that connect fans and audiences worldwide, this is an opportunity to help shape memorable work with some of the most iconic names in sport, culture, and entertainment. You’ll bring a strong network of industry contacts (brand, agency, and rights holder side) and a reputation for opening doors and leading strategic conversations. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Generate new business opportunities across our key growth areas: high-value prospects, new sectors, and existing client development. Leverage your industry network to secure meetings and build meaningful relationships with key decision-makers. Lead on pitch opportunities with support from senior colleagues and the project management team. Work with the senior management team on business strategy, client reviews, and commercial reporting. Manage and update the new business pipeline consistently. Actively use the commercial tracker to provide accurate reporting on all client activity. Prospect and engage potential clients through outbound activity. Develop a full understanding of client needs and challenges, both current and future. Take responsibility for revenue generation from new and prospective clients, as well as cross-selling into existing accounts. THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED Professional attitude with a proven track record of business development and client management. A track record of bringing in briefs, holding client relationships, and winning pitches. Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to build new opportunities. Strong sales and presentation skills, able to engage senior stakeholders and create compelling solutions. Energetic and passionate about the live events and brand marketing sector. Strong awareness of current and emerging trends. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Team player with a down-to-earth attitude (no egos). Based primarily in Orpington (with some flexibility for hybrid working), with national travel required to engage and win new clients.
