Are you an experienced, dynamic, and results-driven Service Manager ready to take on a new significant challenge? On Yer Bike, a leading family-run dealership for Kawasaki, Ducati, Aprilia, and Moto Guzzi, is seeking a talented individual to completely overhaul and professionalise our Service Department.

This is a pivotal, hands-on role for a leader who can not only manage people but can redefine processes and drive efficiency across the entire service operation. The Opportunity: Rebuilding and Optimising Our Service Department has massive potential. We are looking for a true turnaround specialist—someone who has a proven track record of optimising or building a department from the ground up, ideally in a fast-paced, technical product environment.


Responsibilities

* Operational Management: Take full ownership of the daily workshop workflow, ensuring high standards of productivity and quality are maintained by the technical team.
* Team Leadership: Directly manage a team of 7-9 staff, including 5 Motorcycle Technicians and 2 Service/Parts Employees, as well as semi-managing staff in the Prep/Valeting Bay. You will be a strong people manager, focused on coaching, development, and accountability.
* Process Engineering: Crucially, you will have the mandate and ability to create and/or change procedures to significantly enhance departmental efficiency, streamline workflow, and integrate new IT systems effectively.
* Scheduling & Delivery: Efficiently manage the scheduling of customer bike servicing and ensure the timely PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) and delivery of all new and used sold bikes.
* Customer & Warranty Care: Act as a customer champion, ensuring exceptional service standards are met while effectively managing and processing all warranty claims.
* Performance Awareness: You will be responsible for operational performance and will have access to and input into the department's Profit & Loss (P&L).


What We Are Looking For

* Experience is Essential: Significant, demonstrable experience in a Service Management or similar leadership role. Experience from outside the motorcycle industry is highly welcomed.
* The Turnaround Specialist: A proven ability to identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions to transform an underperforming department into a profitable and efficient one.
* Exceptional People Skills: A strong, empathetic leader who can manage, motivate, and get the best out of a technical team, combined with a natural ability to build excellent rapport with customers.
* Procedural Acumen: The confidence and competence to redesign and implement new departmental procedures and processes.
* Technical Understanding: Experience with similar technical products is advantageous. While an interest in motorbikes is helpful, the ability to manage complex technical operations is more important.
