Job Specification for Workshop Mechanic
Job Summary
As a Workshop Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy. You will work closely with the Fleet Manager and Workshop Controller to deliver high-quality service.

The role reports to the Fleet Manager
Responsibilities
Perform routine servicing and maintenance on a variety of fleet vehicles, including diesel and hybrid models.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults, using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and safety checks, ensuring compliance with regulations.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Collaborate with the Workshop Controller and Fleet Manager to prioritize tasks and manage workflow.
Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure optimal performance. Occasionally deliver vehicles to MOT stations or branches, as required. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures.
Skills and capabilities
Proven experience as a Workshop Mechanic, preferably with diesel and hybrid vehicles. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Excellent knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Competent computer skills for logging itéms and diagnostics. Valid full driving license.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Knowledge of Renault, Peugeot, and Toyota vehicles (desired). Package

Standard working hours: 08:30 - 17:00, with a 1-hour lunch break. Reasonable overtime may be required on occasion.
