KS2 Teacher - Maternity Cover - Hillingdon

Tradewind Recruitment is working with a three-form entry primary school in the Hillingdon area to appoint a KS2 Teacher for a maternity cover beginning January 2025. The school is seeking a teacher who can bring creativity, commitment, and strong behaviour management to a well-resourced environment that values collaboration.
This forward-thinking school has spacious classrooms, bright outdoor learning spaces, and a dedicated STEM area to enrich the curriculum. With a stable senior leadership team and an ethos centred on inclusion and respect, the school provides a nurturing yet ambitious setting for both students and staff. There is ample on-site parking and easy access via Uxbridge and West Drayton train stations, making it ideal for teachers commuting from across West London and Buckinghamshire.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS2 (Year 3-6)
2. Use effective assessment to monitor progress and inform next steps
3. Work closely with parallel class teachers to ensure consistency in planning and delivery
4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
5. Attend staff meetings, insets, and parent consultations as required
6. Uphold the school's commitment to pupil wellbeing and academic excellence
Requirements:
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
8. Experience teaching KS2 within UK primary schools
9. Strong communication and teamwork skills
10. Resilience and creativity to support varied learner needs
