The Lifeways Group in Sunderland is currently looking to expand their fantastic team in our local Supported Living services.

At Church View apartments, residents benefit from a vibrant network of staff and friends, while having peace and quiet when needed. There are twelve apartments, twelve accessible bungalows, and a shared garden for residents to enjoy!

The successful candidate will join a well-established team. Therefore, the ability to work as part of a diverse and multi-skilled team is essential. This is a great opportunity for experienced Support Workers or Team Leaders with extensive experience in the care environment who are looking to advance their careers.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Purpose:

1. To work with the Service Manager to oversee a supported living service, ensuring systems and standards are maintained to a high quality.
2. To ensure compliance with all external regulatory standards.
3. To provide support and supervision of Support Workers within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. To support and supervise the delivery of person-centred services to all people using the service.
2. To support the Service Manager in completing accurate rota and timesheet information.
3. To promote and support the health and safety of both people using the service and support staff.
4. To ensure that the actions of all staff directly supporting people using the service support their care, protection, and well-being.
5. To develop personal knowledge and practice related to continuous service improvement.
6. To provide support and supervision to Area Office Support Workers, ensuring effective and efficient person-centred service delivery.

Essential Experience and Qualifications:

Ideally, you will hold an NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or a QCF Level 3 award, certificate, or diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent, with relevant experience in the field. Previous management or supervisory experience is essential, given the supervisory responsibilities of this role.

This role requires flexibility, including participation in a 24-hour on-call rotational system to provide management support and person-centred approaches to service users.
