About the Role
This is an exciting time to join as a Consultant on the Acute Medical Unit at the Royal Oldham Hospital. You will play a central role in both the delivery of safe, efficient and effective patient care and in leading ongoing improvements in acute services. The post will be predominantly based on the Acute Medical Unit, with some in‑reach into the Accident and Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
* Take part in the assessment and management of acute patients admitted to the AMU, including daily assessment, initiating management plans and performing procedures.
* Manage patients requiring non‑invasive ventilation and CPAP.
* Lead within board rounds and multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
* Work alongside an experienced team of Consultants, junior medical staff, nursing, pharmacy and therapy colleagues.
