About the Role
Were looking for an organised and detail-focused Accounts and Administration Assistant to join our growing business. This is a varied role combining finance and general administrative responsibilities, ideal for someone with bookkeeping or accounting experience who enjoys being involved in day-to-day operations and supporting wider business functions.
Working closely with the Board Directors and wider team, youll support the financial processes across our group of companies while providing key administrative support to ensure smooth running of the business.
This could be a part-time role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Finance and Bookkeeping
1. Maintain accurate financial records and assist with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks.Support preparation of monthly reports, invoices, and reconciliations.
2. Process purchase orders, supplier invoices, and staff expenses.
3. Assist with payment runs and general ledger entries (journals, accruals, prepayments).
4. Support payroll administration and liaise with external accountants when required.
5. Conduct credit checks on new customers and review existing credit limits.
6. Support debtor insurance processes.
7. Monitor accounts receivable and proactively chase overdue payments.
