Position : Registered Manager Location : Rotherham, South Yorkshire Salary : Up to £60,000 (DOE) Excellent Benefits About the Opportunity Leader Recruitment Group, a leading specialist in recruitment for children's residential homes, is thrilled to represent our client in their search for an exceptional Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 3-bed therapeutic children's home in Rotherham. This is a unique opportunity to join a values-driven provider at the foundational stage of a new service, dedicated to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed care for young people aged 12-17 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). With significant autonomy to shape the home's culture and operations, you will play a pivotal role in its development and future success, supported by an experienced Responsible Individual. With plans for further expansion, this role offers excellent progression prospects for a passionate and ambitious leader. Key Responsibilities Take full operational responsibility for the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and achieving high standards. Lead and develop a dedicated care team to deliver exceptional, child-centred, trauma-informed support. Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, external stakeholders, and clinical professionals. Oversee care planning, safeguarding, and risk management processes to ensure the safety and well-being of young people. Contribute to the therapeutic ethos of the service, working alongside a clinician to integrate therapeutic input into care delivery. Drive service development, fostering a positive and inclusive culture from the ground up. Support the home's registration process and prepare for Ofsted inspections. Candidate Requirements Essential : Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager ready to step up in a children's residential setting. Essential : Strong understanding of Ofsted frameworks, children's residential regulations, and safeguarding procedures. Essential : Commitment to trauma-informed, therapeutic care for young people with EBD. Passionate about building and leading a high-performing team and establishing a positive culture. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage with young people, staff, and external partners. Proactive, autonomous, and driven to achieve outstanding outcomes for children. Essential : Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle. Flexibility to undertake on-call duties as required. What's on Offer Competitive salary of up to £60,000 (dependent on experience). The service includes monthly outdoor education days, with scope for expansion based on individual needs and local authority input. The home is ready for Ofsted registration, awaiting the appointment of a Registered Manager, and is led by a provider committed to research, youth services, and therapeutic excellence.
