Dispensary Operations Assistant (Dayshift)
Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced, growing business unit? Covetrus is seeking a Dispensary Operations Assistant to join our dynamic team in Dumfries. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our Direct to Consumer Pharmacy operation, supporting the fulfilment of prescriptions across multiple species types.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Dispensary Operations Assistant, you’ll play a key role in our warehouse operations, including:
1. Picking, packing, and preparing prescription orders for shipment
2. Replenishing stock and maintaining accurate inventory records
3. Supporting ecommerce operations including fridge packaging and conveyor orders
4. Processing customer returns and investigating stock discrepancies
5. Assisting with new product setup and slotting
6. Operating warehouse equipment including forklifts and Bendi trucks
7. Ensuring high standards of housekeeping and health & safety compliance
You’ll work across various teams on a rotation basis, gaining experience in all aspects of our warehouse operations.
What We’re Looking For:
8. Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (preferred)
9. Strong attention to detail and good numeracy/literacy skills
10. Comfortable with manual handling and working at height
11. Basic computer skills (Excel and email); ERP system experience is a plus
12. Flexible with working hours and open to overtime
13. Team player with a proactive attitude
We’re also open to supporting further education, including SQP training, for the right candidate.
