Job Description
GAME, the UK's leading specialist retailer of video games, is seeking a Casual Sales Assistant to join our team in Belfast. This role offers an exciting opportunity for gaming enthusiasts to share their passion whilst delivering exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment.
* Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, helping them find the perfect games and gaming accessories
* Operate the till and handle cash transactions accurately
* Maintain an organised and tidy store environment
* Assist with stock management, including receiving deliveries and restocking shelves
* Stay up-to-date with the latest gaming releases, trends, and promotions
* Contribute to creating an engaging and interactive shopping experience for customers
* Participate in special events and midnight game launches as required
* Work flexibly across various shifts, including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
* Genuine enthusiasm for video games and the gaming industry
* Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
* Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
* Cash handling experience and basic maths skills
* Knowledge of current gaming trends and popular titles
* Previous retail experience, particularly in the gaming industry, is desirable but not essential
