Conveyancing Assistant – Brighouse
Location: Brighouse, West Yorkshire (FT, office-based)
Salary: £23,000 – £28,000 DOE + benefits
Experience: Minimum 3 years in a residential conveyancing support role
An established and friendly law firm in Brighouse is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant to support its Residential Property department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with at least a year’s experience in conveyancing who is looking to develop their skills further in a supportive, close-knit team environment.
The Role:
1. Supporting a busy and experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner with a caseload of residential property matters
2. Preparing contract packs, conducting ID and AML checks, and dealing with post-completion tasks including SDLT and Land Registry applications
3. Handling client queries via phone and email in a professional and friendly manner
4. Managing and updating case management systems
5. Assisting with file opening, closing and compliance checks
Requirements:
6. Minimum 3 years experience in a residential conveyancing support role
7. Understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to completion
8. Strong administrative and organisational skills
9. Good written and verbal communication
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
