We are looking to appoint individuals who are passionate about high quality care as we are. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative, enthusiastic and highly motivated qualified social worker to join Safeguarding Team. You will have demonstrable social work experience, the ability to work positively as part of a team and in partnership with other stakeholders. Working within the legislative framework, you will carry out social work functions, undertaking screening of Safeguarding concerns, utilising Care Act 2014 and relevant legislation to complete appropriate assessments, provide support and guidance, drawing on sound inter-personal and communication skills. You will carry a caseload and will require the ability to produce reports and the resilience to deliver under pressure within required timeframes. We are seeking professional and flexible candidates who demonstrate leadership abilities and are committed to work in a multidisciplinary setting. The candidates should be qualified and registered with Social Work England and to be experienced in or able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for this area of work.

The Team are a strong community of experienced and highly skilled professionals delivering evolving triage service which ensures adults receive a timely response to their Safeguarding referrals which are thorough, and person centred. The Team work in partnership with the locality Social Work Teams ensuring that citizens in Birmingham are also connected with local community-based support.

This is an opportunity to develop best practice, focused on achieving positive outcomes with and for Birmingham adult citizens with care and support needs, experiencing or at risk of abuse or neglect, who benefit from assistance with plans to protect them and enhance their wellbeing.
